7) The Engineer

In the comics, The Engineer is more of an anti-heroine than a supervillain. However, in James Gunn's film, she works for Lex Luthor, and appears to confront Superman several times. In the comics, The Engineer is a member of The Authority, a group of super-powered individuals who take an extreme approach to crime-fighting. Angela Spice, The Engineer's real name, made her first appearance in 1999's The Authority vol. 1 #1. Born in Brooklyn, she was reportedly the first human being to come into contact with an Engineer without even knowing it. She reportedly received her powers from the Engineer. Later, thanks to her knowledge and nanotechnology, she was able to transform her blood into a nearly indestructible metallic liquid. With a liquid body due to the nanotechnology in her bloodstream, she is notably capable of changing shape at will, creating any object, including any type of weapon, and even clones of herself. She is played by Maria Gabriela de Faria in the James Gunn film.

6) Hawkgirl

A much more famous character than The Engineer, Hawkgirl has already appeared in numerous DC adaptations on television. However, this will be her first live-action appearance in the cinema. Hawkgirl became particularly well-known to the younger generation thanks to her notable presence in the 2001 animated series Justice League. She is also present in some live-action DC series such as Legends of Tomorrow, where her story with Hawkman was a major element. In the comics, there are three versions of Hawkgirl: Shiera Sanders Hall, Shayera Hol, and Kendra Saunders. Logically, Superman should feature Kendra Saunders. This version of the character debuted in 1999 as a member of the Justice Society of America. And her powers are said to be inherited from Shiera Sanders Hall. She will be played by Isabela Merced in the film by James Gunn.

5) Metamorpho

Created in 1965, Metamorpho is an ambiguous character. Originally, Rex Mason is an adventurer, hired by businessman Simon Stagg to find an Egyptian artifact. While working with the latter's daughter, with whom he falls in love, Rex is exposed to a radioactive meteorite which transforms him into a Metamorphae soldier of the god Ra. A power that allows him to transform his body into all the elements that make up the human body. In Superman, Metamorpho appears to be held prisoner by Lex Luthor, using his powers to subject the Man of Steel to kryptonite. Played by Anthony Carrigan, Metamorpho should logically join Superman somewhere during the plot.

4) Mister Terrific

Mister Terrific is an iconic comic book character. Created in 1942 during the Golden Age of Superheroes, Terry Sloane was a millionaire with a photographic memory and extraordinary athletic abilities. However, it wasn't until 1997 that we discovered the modern-day Mister Terrific in the person of Michael Holt. Also highly skilled and intelligent, Holt invented the T-Sphere, a versatile device controlled by his mask and headphones. It was the latter who appeared in Superman as Edi Gathegi. In addition to his presence in the James Gunn film, Mister Terrific also appeared in the Arrow series, although his origin story was changed. According to the film's marketing, this character is expected to play a central role in the James Gunn film.

3) Guy Gardner

Played by Nathan Fillion, this version of Green Lantern will be making his cinematic debut. Obviously, several DC heroes are associated with the Green Lantern character, with John Stewart and Hal Jordan being the most famous. Guy Gardner debuted in 1968 as the official third Green Lantern. The choice of Guy Gardner over another Green Lantern is no coincidence. In the comics, Guy Gardner is rougher, more unpredictable, and more aggressive than his colleagues. Logically, the character would not be an ally of Superman. Guy Gardner will then return in season 2 of Peacemaker and in the series Lanterns.

2) Krypto

Created in 1955, Krypto is an iconic character in the Superman universe. The super-dog has already appeared in many DC productions in the past. We could see him in Smallville, in his own animated series or even in the recent DC League of Super-Pets. However, Superman will mark his first live-action film appearance.

1) Rick Flag Sr

Played by Frank Grillo, Rick Flag Sr was already at the center of the Creature Commandos series. Already voiced by Frank Grillo, the character works, like his late son in Suicide Squad and The Suicide Squad, for Amanda Waller. However, his status seems to be evolving a little in Superman. According to James Gunn, Rick Flag Sr. is the head of ARGUS, and works with the Secretary of Defense. Although Rick Flag Jr. has appeared in both installments of the Suicide Squad saga, Rick Flag Sr. is making his first appearance in the cinema. And we can't wait to see how Superman will integrate the events of Creature Commandos into his storyline.
