After six years of loyal service and a third season this year, The Division 2 finally welcomes its famous new major DLC, which was delayed earlier this year. As a reminder, this new expansion, called Battle for Brooklyn, is intended as a kind of return to the roots for Massive Entertainment's MMO shooter. To mark its highly anticipated launch, the studio has released a final trailer to showcase its new features.
Return to the roots for The Division 2 with the Battle for Brooklyn DLC
Particularly closely watched by fans of The Division 2, Battle for Brooklyn invites us, as its name suggests, to return to New York, the theater of operations for the very first installment almost ten years ago. Instead of a winter setting, however, we are treated to a tour of various neighborhoods of the Big Apple in autumn, with more colorful tones. Life also seems to be returning to normal, despite the presence of hostile forces, including the infamous Cleaners. They have also added new toys to their arsenal by creating Violet Flame and introducing a new status: Corrosion.
In addition to a return to New York, The Division 2's new DLC brings with it the return of a much-loved ability from the franchise: Smart Cover, with two different possible bonuses. Finally, a new exotic mask called "The Catalyst" will strengthen the agents' equipment, granting increased damage when suffering afflictions like the famous new Corrosion.
The Division 2's Battle for Brooklyn DLC is now available on all platforms, and promises between 6 and 10 hours of gameplay, for the price of €14.99. A Deluxe Edition is also available with bonus cosmetics.
