It's not common to learn that MCU actors have applied to play characters other than their current role. One of the actors from Thunderbolts* has just revealed that he auditioned for two MCU films in the past: as you will see, he really wanted to join the world of Spider-Man!
Thunderbolts*: this actor has wanted to join the MCU since 2016
Released in theaters on April 30, Thunderbolts* is, for fans, the best MCU film in a long time, and at Hitek, we agree. The plot sees a team of tortured "heroes" face off against a terrifying threat, the Void, the dark side of the superhero Sentry. Played by Lewis Pullman, the latter is Marvel Studios' newest super-powered recruit. Previously seen in the series Outer Range and Top Gun: Maverick, the 32-year-old American actor should have a great career in the Avengers cinematic universe. However, this wasn't the actor's first audition at the House of Ideas when he landed the role of Sentry. During an interview with IGN, casting director Sarah Finn revealed that Lewis Pullman auditioned to play Ned Leeds in Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016!
Lewis Pullman, passionate about the Spider-Man universe

And this isn't the only Spider-Man-related film Lewis Pullman has auditioned for: he also revealed he's been cast in the lead role of Kraven the Hunter! Considering the film signaled the end of the SSU, Lewis Pullman can be proud of himself for being turned down for the role of Peter Parker's famous enemy. What is certain is that the actor is a fan of the Spider-Man universe, but as Internet users point out, his physical resemblance to Tom Holland didn't make him a good candidate for Ned.
he’d have looked too much like tom holland

He would have looked too much like Tom Holland.
And you, what do you think of the star's previous castings?
