No need to ask your friends for a summary of a group conversation you missed or read dozens, even hundreds of messages, WhatsApp's AI will take care of summarizing them for you.
Who hasn't felt overwhelmed by a ton of WhatsApp messages waiting to be read? We don't always have the time or the desire to catch up on all the messages we've lost, and it seems the messaging app's developers are aware of this. They're currently working on integrating a conversation summary feature.
This option, based on artificial intelligence of course, was spotted on a beta version (2.25.15.12) of WhatsApp by WABetaInfo, always reliable when it comes to revealing the app's future features. When a user receives several new messages in a conversation, a “Summarize with Meta AI” button will appear, allowing you to get a summary of unread messages and save precious time.
WhatsApp summarizes your conversations with AI
This feature is likely to be particularly useful in the most chatty groups. We sometimes easily find ourselves with hundreds of messages behind if we have been bold enough not to connect to WhatsApp for half a day, this new feature is welcome to understand what was said quickly.
The question of security arises. WhatsApp will use its Private Processing technology to protect data. This means that the entire message content is processed in a secure environment. This AI summary feature will prevent WhatsApp, Meta, or any third party from accessing conversations. Furthermore, it will not be available in chats with Advanced Privacy enabled.
WhatsApp is making efforts to make it easier to track conversations on its app. Recently, it rolled out a voice message transcription feature, allowing users who are allergic to audio to read these types of messages instead of listening to them. We will soon have access to AI conversation summaries in a future update, which has not yet been dated.
