Less than two weeks away from the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, and players are already impatient to discover Mario Kart World… but also to rediscover their favorite Switch games in a new light. Indeed, the new console from the Kyoto-based company intends to take advantage of its increased power and new features to enrich the experience of certain existing titles. The most significant updates, called “Nintendo Switch 2 Editions”, will be paid, but others will cost gamers nothing. Here are the games that will benefit from free improvements when the console launches on June 5th.
What changes for which titles?
In total, twelve games developed and published by Nintendo will receive notable adjustments on Nintendo Switch 2. From simple graphical improvements to the implementation of multiplayer with a single cartridge via GameShare, here are the various improvements that the manufacturer has in store for us:

Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom “free” with one condition
The Nintendo Switch 2 Editions of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be available at no additional cost to players who own the original versions of the games, as well as an active Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack membership. As a reminder, these versions will offer higher image definition, improved performance, HDR display support, and compatibility with the ZELDA NOTES service in the Nintendo Switch App (formerly the Nintendo Switch Online app).
