Luca Guadagnino's film, however, did not meet with the expected success, both critically and in terms of box office.

For his part, Cillian Murphy must return to a franchise that counts in his filmography. The actor is expected to reprise his role in the upcoming 28 Days Later films. While he's not in the cast of 28 Days Later, which is out in theaters on June 18, producers have promised he'll be cast in one of the two films promised by Sony Pictures. He's also set to reunite with Thomas Shelby for The Immortal Man: A Peaky Blinders Movie.
