Xbox Game Pass: First May 2025 releases are here with some great games

Microsoft has confirmed that a new wave of titles will be removed from Xbox Game Pass during the month of May. A total of eight games will leave the service around May 15, 2025. As usual, these departures are part of the regular catalog rotation, which is based on limited-time availability agreements.

Xbox Game Pass releases for May 2025

Among the games that will soon be leaving the Xbox Game Pass service is Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, a narrative game praised for its emotional storytelling and single-player co-op mechanics. Dune: Spice Wars, for its part, is a real-time strategy game based on the world of Frank Herbert, combining management, exploration, and politics.

Also included is Planet of Lana, known for its very careful artistic direction and gameplay similar to Limbo or Inside, which will also be leaving the catalog. Another notable departure is Chants of Sennaar, an original independent production focused on the translation and reconstruction of forgotten languages, acclaimed for its atypical approach.

Other affected Xbox Game Pass games include Hauntii, a recently launched stylized adventure with a unique aesthetic; Little Kitty, Big City, which focuses on urban exploration from a cat's perspective; The Big Con, a narrative game set in the 90s where you play as a teenage girl involved in scams. Finally Jurassic World Evolution 2, the dinosaur park simulation published by Frontier.

The list of games

Subscribers still have a few days to play these titles before they are removed from Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft did not specify an exact date, but the removal should occur around May 15, as is generally the case for this type of rotation.
