While we obviously remember Luke, Yoda, and Darth Vader, some characters from the Star Wars universe have been forgotten. This is the case, for example, with these 12 characters from George Lucas's universe that we have completely forgotten.
12) Dak Ralter
Dak Ralter is a pilot in the Rebel Alliance. When the Empire launched its assault on Hoth at the beginning of The Empire Strikes Back, Dak Ralter was Luke Skywalker's co-pilot. Just making his debut in the franchise, he died moments later. This makes Dak Ralter perhaps one of the most forgettable pilots in the entire Rebellion. 11) Lobot
Lobot is Lando Calrissian's right-hand man. Remember him? Neither do we. Introduced in The Empire Strikes Back, the character has had a second life through comics and novels. While he is now highly regarded by hardcore fans, if we simply refer to his participation in the film saga, it is still largely anecdotal.
10) Yarael Poof
He is one of the Jedi Masters present in the Jedi Council. He is one of the unique Jedi in the prequels. His long neck and white skin make him a particularly strange Jedi. However, The Phantom Menace marks his only on-screen appearance (like many of the Jedi present in this Jedi Council).
9) Nien Nunb
Nien Nunb was Lando Calrissian's co-pilot during the Battle of Endor. Nien Nunb managed to make a bit of an impression thanks to his astonishing design and his unusual physique. Nien Nunb has a few other appearances in the Star Wars canon, but honestly, it's hard to remember them all...
8) Chancellor Valorum
Actually, in The Phantom Menace, there are a lot of particularly forgettable characters. Finis Valorum was the Chancellor of the Republic before Sheev Palpatine manipulated the Senate. Thanks to his masterful political manipulation, Palpatine managed to replace Chancellor Valorum perfectly. It's a shame we don't see more of him because he was still played by the immense Terrence Stamp.
7) Sly Moore
Sly Moore is part of Palpatine's inner circle. Always present in the background, Sly Moore is generally useless. We imagine that he is an advisor to Palpatine, but he never speaks and has no impact on the plot in any way. We still wonder about the usefulness of this character's presence, mostly on screen in Attack of the Clones
6) Sabé
Sabé was Padmé's most loyal servant. She follows her everywhere like her shadow, protects her, advises her, and even takes her place as a double during slightly tense moments. In reality, we generally remember the presence of this character in the first film, who nevertheless disappears without reason from the second episode of the trilogy. What is less remembered is that Sabé was played by the immense Keira Knightley.
5) Constable Zuvio
He's become a meme and a bad joke. Constable Zuvio was featured prominently during the marketing for The Force Awakens. His striking design and belligerent appearance quickly won over fans. All for nothing, because Constable Zuvio is almost entirely absent from J.J. Abrams' film. His role was originally intended to be that of a guardian of the law on Jakku. A sort of local sheriff. But we hardly see him on screen. It's hard to make a bigger damp squib...
4) Captain Typho
Replacing Captain Panaka, Captain Typho becomes Padmé Amidala's new head of security when she becomes Senator of Naboo. Although he is the head of Padmé's close guard, we hardly ever see this famous Captain Typho. He is barely present in Attack of the Clones and only has one scene in Revenge of the Sith.
3) DJ
He was nevertheless played by the immense Benicio Del Toro. Present in The Last Jedi, DJ is a charismatic outlaw who helps Finn and Rose. We would have liked to see more, but DJ returned to the shadows as if nothing had happened.
2) Mas Amedda
Like Sly Moore, Mas Amedda always appears in Palpatine's footsteps. And like Sly Moore, he's basically useless. He never speaks, never fights, and when trouble arises, he runs away through a back door. And yet, he's supposed to be Vice Chancellor! But who are you really?
1) Oola
She's the Twi'lek dancer killed by the Rancor in Jabba's palace in Return of the Jedi. A minor character, we wanted to talk about her because during the re-release of Star Wars in 1997, George Lucas called back actress Femi Taylor to shoot additional sequences. Oola is back, but this time, George Lucas adds several shots inside the pit. This allowed the character to have more longevity.
