Bouygues Telecom customers will be able to benefit from 5G+ on June 23, according to information from Univers Freebox. And unlike Orange, which limits 5G SA (for "standalone") support to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16, at Bouygues, owners of iPhones and Android smartphones (compatible, of course) will be entitled to the benefits of the new network.

Real 5G soon for everyone
This is very good news, which is in addition to the supported by Orange but also by Free Mobile: since June 6, the operator's customers can also activate 5G+ from their subscriber account. Oddly, Free has not yet communicated about this new feature, but clearly not all users have access to it yet.
5G+ fulfills the promises of 5G: significantly reduced latency, high speeds, and the introduction of VoNR (for "Voice over New Radio"), which allows you to make calls in 5G while downloading large volumes of data. In terms of security, it also provides better security for SIM card information thanks to end-to-end encryption. Enough to eliminate spoofing attempts.
Unlike 5G, which relies partly on 4G infrastructure (including the 700MHz frequency band), 5G+ relies on the 3.5GHz frequency band, the "heart" of the network. Only SFR remains to convert the general public to 5G+ — the operator with the red square already offers deals for businesses.
