Despite its mere status as a playable teaser, Hideo Kojima's P.T. Silent Hills is one of the most memorable horror experiences of all time. There was definitely a before and after, even though this demo didn't lead to a full game. After that, a whole bunch of clones flourished, including the formidable Visage. A psychological horror title that grabs you by the guts with its chilling atmosphere and themes. If you like it, you should keep a close eye on Luto.
The release of the horror game Luto is finally coming to fruition!
It's sometimes difficult to live up to an original work, but with Visage, SadSquare Studio has delivered a worthy spiritual successor to P.T. Silent Hills. But there's another clone that's been catching our eye for a while now. It's the horror game Luto, developed by the Spanish company Broken Bird Games. Like its predecessors, the title is a first-person psychological horror narrative experience where you play the role of a character who can't leave their home.
"Experience the pain of losing a loved one, the horror of feeling insecure, and the discomfort hidden behind anxiety and depression. Enter a world of ambient and sensory horror where you'll experience the fear of multiple phobias." Luto sets the tone and probably won't be for everyone. During the Future Games Show 2025, which is one of the Summer Game Fest 2025 conferences, the studio offered a new trailer that covers all the themes addressed in the game. If you like Silent Hill and other horror titles with themes rooted in reality, you've come to the right place.
"It's a story about hope, dreams, secrets, love, fears, loss, regret, ghosts, lies, hell, and death" we learn in LUTO's Summer Game Fest 2025 trailer. This horror game, similar to PT and Visage, also took the opportunity to make the long-awaited announcement with a big surprise. It will be available from July 22, 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, so very soon. For collectors, a physical version will arrive later this year.
