This Monday, June 16, during the morning, high school students in the general and technological streams took their written baccalaureate exams in philosophy. A subject "adored" by students, which many consider too abstract... But which always causes fits of laughter on X, as these hilarious tweets in 2024 already proved!
Exams considered difficult by students
For the general streams, students had the choice between "Does our future depend on technology?" and "Is the truth always convincing?", subjects which, as you will see below, did not leave Internet users unmoved. The text commentary concerned an excerpt from John Rawls's A Theory of Justice (1971), which deals with democracy and the equal treatment of citizens. For the technology stream, the choice was between "Are we free in all circumstances?" and "Do we need art?" or a commentary on an excerpt from A Theory of Moral Sentiments (Adam Smith, 1789). Suffice it to say that between football references and off-topic discussions, our students gave it their all!
