For the past few days, persistent rumors have been circulating about a new upcoming Nintendo Direct. We now have official confirmation, and it will be entirely dedicated to a major upcoming exclusive for the Nintendo Switch 2. We won't have to wait long to find out all about it.
The next Nintendo Direct has been made official, and it's going to hit hard
Available since June 5, the Nintendo Switch 2 seems to be doing very well, with around twenty games to accompany its launch, but only one major exclusive in the form of Mario Kart World. Over time, the catalog of the new console from Big N will naturally grow, and the next Nintendo Direct will be the opportunity to discover one of the next major exclusives for the machine.
Via its Nintendo Today app, the Japanese company has indeed confirmed that a Nintendo Direct will be held on June 18, 2025. Contrary to recent rumors about it, it will focus solely on Donkey Kong Bananza, expected on July 17, 2025 exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2. Presented during the big Direct dedicated to the console, this new 3D Donkey Kong promises to be a big comeback for the Japanese manufacturer's simian mascot. A large part of its gameplay will in any case focus on a total destruction of the scenery, for our greatest pleasure, and naturally the collection of bananas.
We will thus be able to see the game in action better, with a Nintendo Direct that should present the title from every angle for around fifteen minutes. See you this Wednesday, at a time yet to be determined, with a large stock of bananas, to see what Donkey Kong has in store for us in his next adventure.
