After enjoying a heyday on the PS5 in 2024, Stellar Blade made its grand return to PC on June 11th, where it received a high-quality port. Currently boasting "very positive" ratings on Steam, where it already has over 15,500 user reviews, Shift Up's game confirms its success with a new community of players, many of whom are falling under the spell of EVE's adventures (and not only...). However, the studio hasn't forgotten PS5 players either.
Free content for Stellar Blade on PS5
Indeed, to coincide with the game's release on PC, the PS5 version of Stellar Blade has also been updated to include a series of fixes and free content. Here are the full patch notes for the latter, which brings the title into version 1.011:
- Boss Challenge: Mann has been added.
- Available after the first part. Defeat Mann to obtain a new outfit for EVE.
- New cosmetics can be obtained throughout the game:
- 25 new outfits for EVE.
- 9 new accessories for EVE.
- The Stellar Blade digital artbook is available after completing the first part.
- Photo Mode has been improved and new features have been added:
- 3 new facial expressions for EVE.
- 4 new poses for EVE and Lily.
- A preset saving function has been added.
- Up to 6 lights can now be used.
- Three new BGM tracks, "Lullaby of Secret", "Just Fine", and "Blur", have been added to the turntable and can be listened to at camp.
- Synchronization Lip-smacking for the Chinese version is now supported.
- Japanese voice acting can now be selected in all regions for Stellar Blade.
- Key mapping functionality has been added for the DualSense controller.
- A drop prevention feature has been added to improve the platform experience (it can be enabled/disabled in the options).
- Various bugs have been fixed.
A sequel is in the works
This could give some players good reasons to get back into the Stellar Blade adventure on PS5. As usual, the update should automatically launch as soon as you arrive on the console menu. If not, you can always install it manually. Finally, let's take this opportunity to remind you that a sequel is currently in the works at Shift Up, and that its release could come much sooner than we imagine. Because if we believe the schedule shared by the studio last month, it should arrive by 2027 at the latest.
