Cyberpunk 2077 is not dead after all, a huge surprise officially announced

Cyberpunk 2077 is not dead after all, a huge surprise officially announced

Aside from its port to Nintendo Switch 2, CD Projekt RED seemed to have finished with the development of Cyberpunk 2077, now focusing fully on its sequel, and more immediately on The Witcher 4. However, the Polish studio still had one last surprise in store for V and Johnny in Night City, coming soon. The details are attached.

Cyberpunk 2077 has finally many more gigs in store

After a complicated launch in many respects, Cyberpunk 2077 has experienced a nice form of redemption with the arrival of its Phantom Liberty DLC and a colossal 2.0 update. All this work to restore CD Projekt RED's image, however, has apparently exhausted the teams, and the Polish studio then wanted to focus on its upcoming games currently in production. However, in its latest stream, we learned that another major patch is finally on the way, codenamed 2.3.

Like previous major updates for Cyberpunk 2077, we can expect significant injections of new features, in addition to various fixes, for all platforms. While CD Projekt RED has not yet shared all the details about it, it is possible that we will find the famous loot caches discovered in gameplay clips of the Ultimate Edition on Switch 2. In any case, all this should arrive around June 26, and the Polish studio should tell us more in the coming days.

So patience is required to see what Cyberpunk 2077 still has in store to better tide us over until the very distant releases of The Witcher 4, and especially the next opus in the dystopian universe imagined by Mike Pondsmith, which this time should take us not only to Night City, but also to Chicago. So there are still plenty of gigs waiting for us between now and then, chooms.
