Among Disneyland's most iconic attractions, it's hard not to mention Space Mountain. This roller coaster has now been rebranded as Star Wars and renamed Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain. At Disneyland Paris, Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain is getting better, with the park sharing new visuals for a new version.
Disneyland Paris continues to evolve
Opened in 1975 at Magic Kingdom, Space Mountain has now given way to a Star Wars-themed version of the roller coaster.To accompany the release of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens in theaters, Space Mountain is giving way to Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, much to the dismay of longtime fans.
And after Disneyland in 2015 and Hong Kong Disneyland in 2016, Disneyland Paris is getting its own Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain in May 2017. An attraction that has continued to improve over the years, while a new version is on the way. Indeed, new collector's items designed by the Merchandise department at Disneyland Paris, as well as a new lighting design for the attraction's exterior, are currently in preparation.

A project born almost two years ago now which is at the origin of the progressive replacement of more than 640 lights. 17 kilometers of cables are necessary, but also the modernization of technical equipment, the repainting of the roof as well as the creation of new technical accesses so that maintenance operations are carried out more easily.
Different light cycles will accompany each catapulting of the vehicles, a light show that visitors will be able to admire during their visit once the project is completed. It's nice to see that Disneyland Paris continues to reinvent itself despite the years. We're eagerly awaiting to learn more about the next big new features, from World of Frozen to the Lion King area.
