As the days go by, the announcement of EA FC 26 continues to be delayed, and the leaks keep coming one after the other. Over the past few weeks, a wealth of information regarding EA FC 25's successor has found its way onto the web. From the game's potential release date to the new features it might offer, there's no shortage of details. But among these leaks, not all the news seems very promising at the moment.
Mixed first feedback for the open world of EA FC 26
A few days ago, the author of all the leaks shared so far, FGZ, did it again by sharing some details on a new feature that intrigues more than one: the famous open world of EA FC 26. Mentioned by Electronic Arts last October, this new feature, which should be inspired by NBA 2K's Park mode, would aim to offer players a common online playground where they could freely meet up with their friends in the company of other players from around the world.
But as tempting the idea as it is, it appears for the moment that it does not really work. This is what FGZ indicated in a tweet, in which he explained that the first playtests have now started on EA FC 26 and that the feedback has not been very positive. "One person told us it was 'limited'," the leaker said. He also took the opportunity to clarify that the mode in question would be based on the Hypermotion technology of the Frostbite engine, widely used in Electronic Arts productions.
A later arrival than expected?
As it stands, and if the rumors concerning the game's release date are true, it seems difficult to imagine that the new mode will be part of the launch of EA FC 26. Moreover, it is also not impossible to imagine that we will have to wait for the arrival of EA FC 27 before being able to really enjoy it, unless it arrives in the meantime via a major update. But of course, all of this remains pure speculation. The best thing to do, as always, is to wait for official information from the studio. Something that, in theory, should not be too long in coming.
