Elden Ring Nightreign rolls out a new update, what's new?

Three weeks after its release, Elden Ring Nightreign is receiving its fourth post-launch update. After making solo expeditions less punishing in its second patch, and various emergency fixes in the others, here's what's changing with version 1.01.3 of the Elden Ring cooperative spin-off, which had to shut down Limveld and its servers this morning to apply these changes.

Fourth Elden Ring Nightreign update in three weeks

Elden Ring Nightreign is quietly continuing its expeditions to Limveld, after enjoying a very successful launch with 3.5 million copies sold in its first week. FromSoftware therefore doesn't intend to abandon its latest game anytime soon. This translates into regular updates, even weekly for now. In the long term, the renowned Japanese studio also plans to introduce at least one major DLC later this year, which will add new content. Likewise, highly anticipated features like the ability to launch duo expeditions should arrive sooner or later.

In the meantime, here's update 1.01.3, which once again brings fixes on several levels for PC (via Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series platforms. Below you will find the detailed notes for this new version of Elden Ring Nightreign.

Elden Ring Nightreign Patch 1.01.3 Notes

General Balance Adjustments

  • Increased the chance to obtain weapons with the Madness status.

Bug Fixes

  • Adjusted the visibility of the Whirlwind skill effect when the relic effect "[Guardian] Increased Character Skill Duration" is active.
  • Fixed a bug where the Demon Trader would spawn near the Nighttide during the Demon Trader's Curse.
  • Fixed a bug where the damage dealt to some enemies when destroying weak points created by Ironeye's "Mark" skill was higher or lower than intended.
  • Application Fixed a bug where lightning damage received from enemies was negated when affected by the "Great Elder Dragon's Power" passive effect of the "Gransax's Lightning" weapon.
  • Fixed a bug where the Ultimate Art gauge would fill up more than intended when attacking certain enemies.
  • Fixed a bug where the "Switching Weapon Adds an Affinity Attack" relic effect would not correctly reflect the attribute when applied to bows and crossbows.
  • Applied a fix for a bug where the number of runes needed to purchase uncommon weapons from merchants would be miscalculated.
  • Fixed a bug where players would lose a fight after being revived after a near-death encounter against a Night Lord or other Night bosses.
  • Applied a fix for a bug in some multiplayer Night Lord fights where the camera would not display at the correct angle when not targeting an enemy.
  • Fixed a bug where character lingering ghosts would not appear in Limveld.
  • Added staff information to the game's credits.

Steam-exclusive adjustments

  • Fixed a bug where the game could freeze momentarily or for an extended period in certain environments.

FromSoftware notes, however, that despite the fixes in this 1.01.3 update, some of the aforementioned bugs may still The same can happen in Elden Ring Nightreign.
