We're almost there. In just two days from today, the Nintendo Switch 2 will officially be available worldwide. It will mark the start of a new generation for the Kyoto-based company, but also for players, who will have the opportunity to discover a multitude of games in portable mode. Because for this new era, Nintendo intends more than ever to open its doors to third-party publishers, many of whom are announcing the arrival of their titles on the console. The latest example: Giants Software with Farming Simulator 25.
Farming Simulator 25 is coming to Nintendo Switch 2
Indeed, after skipping the Switch with Farming Simulator 25, the studio is today announcing the arrival of the game on Nintendo Switch 2 thanks to a new edition called Farming Simulator: Signature Edition. "As is tradition, we are working hard to make this family simulation series accessible to all virtual farmers, current and future," Giant Software explains on its website. "And Nintendo's next console will join this group of platforms that appreciate virtual farming!".
Based on the latest iteration released at the end of 2024, this new version of Farming Simulator 25 will allow Nintendo Switch 2 owners to enjoy everything that makes the franchise so special. "More than 400 authentic machines from over 150 internationally renowned brands, 25 crops, and three maps offering a wide variety of farming in various environments across Europe, North America, and East Asia" announces the studio, before teasing the arrival of a new major brand in the series.

But to find out what it's all about, we'll have to wait a little longer. For now, Giant Software is mainly preparing to launch the next update for Farming Simulator 25, Plains and Prairies, on existing platforms. The Signature Edition, however, will not arrive before winter 2025 on Nintendo Switch 2, at a date that has yet to be determined. The studio indicates, however, that the information will be revealed in the near future, as will the identity of the new brand to come. See you at the Summer Game Fest, perhaps?
