A new AI trend is currently taking social media by storm: you give your photo to ChatGPT and ask it to generate a photo of your soulmate from it. Don't expect anything other than a good laugh.
After the photos restyled by ChatGPT in the Studio Ghibli style, a new, radically different trend is going viral on social media. As we spotted on this Reddit thread, people are having fun asking OpenAI's AI to generate a picture of their ideal partner from their own photo.
A sign that the AI isn't quite there yet when it comes to romance, its results are... pretty hilarious to be truly “useful” – if we can call such queries that. In many cases, the AI does the bare minimum, adding a mustache to female portraits (but sometimes also to male ones if the user has long hair).

Or ChatGPT simply generates the same person, always with a mustache and slightly more feminine features in the case of many male portraits. Some more specific requests lead to results that are only slightly more convincing. For example, simply giving the same person the features of the other sex, in the same room.
In one case, the generator also interpreted the term “partner” as an invitation to change the pose, reaching out towards the third wall, all in an ice rink. Perhaps to signify that you'll be part of a big ice show the next moment. Obviously, all this amuses the redditors a lot, who also make their jokes.
One of them shows, in a screenshot, that the chat simply refuses to finish generating the photo of his soulmate. While another, ends up with a photo... of his hand. It's up to you to try (or not) this little game. All you need is a portrait of yourself, and to ask ChatGPT to generate the photo of your soulmate from it, in your prompt.
