Thin, light, autonomous and well-equipped, Huawei's new smartwatch doesn't just look like the Apple Watch Ultra 2: it has most of its functions... For a much more reasonable price. The Fit 4 Pro model could well appeal to those who want high-end without blowing their budget.
With the Watch Fit 4 Pro, Huawei is expanding its smartwatch offering, clearly targeting the high-end sports segment. The positioning is clear: to offer the same performance as the most advanced watches on the market, but in a more accessible, more autonomous format and, above all, compatible with all smartphones.
The Chinese manufacturer capitalizes on its expertise in sensors, design and autonomy to offer a versatile model, designed for athletes as well as for everyday use, and this, for a third of the price of the Apple Watch Ultra 2.
The Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro versus the Apple Watch Ultra 2: a surprising technical sheet
The comparison is inevitable, and Huawei makes no secret of it: the Watch Fit 4 Pro is designed to compete directly with the Apple Watch Ultra 2, while displaying a price three times lower. And on paper, the surprise is big.
The two watches share several key points: a titanium case, a screen protected by sapphire crystal, a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits and the presence of an ECG sensor. But the Huawei watch goes further in several practical aspects:
- It is thinner (9.3 mm vs. 14.4 mm)
- It is half as light (30.4 g vs. 61.4 g)
- It is more durable with up to 10 days of battery life, whereas the Apple Watch Ultra struggles to exceed 36 hours.
It also has a 1.82-inch AMOLED screen (compared to 1.92 inches for the Apple Watch Ultra), with a density of 347 pixels per inch compared to 326 ppi for its rival. The Huawei watch takes 60 minutes to fully charge, a point not specified by Apple.
Another key advantage: multi-platform compatibility. While the Apple Watch Ultra is strictly reserved for recent iPhones (iOS 18 minimum), the Watch Fit 4 Pro works equally well with Android and iOS. It thus becomes a credible option for all users, regardless of their equipment.
Even in terms of GPS navigation, Huawei has the advantage. The Watch Fit 4 Pro allows route import, voice guidance, route reversal, road departure alerts, and even the display of GPS coordinates. Features natively absent from the Apple Watch, yet designed for adventurers.
At less than €250, the Watch Fit 4 Pro hits hard
Last difference, and not least: the price! Whereas the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is priced from €899, the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro is available at €279.99. A difference that is obvious, especially since the Huawei watch is anything but a bargain model. It offers premium materials, significantly longer battery life, advanced navigation features, and universal compatibility — all in a lighter form factor.
And for its launch, Huawei is pushing the advantage and bringing the price of the watch below €250. How? Thanks to several exceptional offers:
- €30 immediate discount via newsletter subscription
- A second free strap (depending on the version chosen)
- 12 additional months of warranty
- 3 months of Huawei Health+ subscription included
These offers are available until July 6 on the Huawei Store.
Note that the Watch Fit 4 “standard” model is also covered by a launch offer. Priced at €169.99, it comes with exactly the same bonuses as the Pro version: immediate discount, second bracelet, extended warranty and 3 months of Santé+. An interesting alternative for those who want to stay under the €140 mark, while keeping the essentials.
Finally, for those looking for a serious, sporty, and versatile smartwatch without spending a fortune, the Watch Fit 4 Pro ticks all the boxes. And at this price, the matchup against the Apple Watch Ultra 2 clearly goes in Huawei's favor.
