The Nintendo Switch 2 has been available on the market for almost two weeks. The major title on board is called Mario Kart World, available in a launch pack for €499.99.
The system-seller that was The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild when the original Switch was released in March 2018 has been replaced by the long-awaited sequel, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. A winning choice from the Kyoto-based company? That's an understatement. The Nintendo Switch 2 and Mario Kart World are selling like hotcakes, or rather, like shokupans. The console even beats a legendary record held by Sony.
Nintendo Switch 2 achieves the best launch ever in Japan
Famitsu, the legendary Japanese video game magazine, reveals the sales figures for the Nintendo Switch 2 and Mario Kart World for the week of June 2 to 8 in Japan. Since the console and the racing game were released on June 5, this corresponds to the first three days of sales. Nintendo Switch 2 achieves the best launch ever for a console in Japan.

Mario Kart World, precisely, eclipses all other recently released titles like Elden Ring Nightreign or Fantasy Life i: The Time Thief.
