Nintendo Switch 2: Don't do this when you get your console!

Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders are still available if you want the console on day one, while trying to save some money compared to the maximum prices recommended by the Japanese company. If initial trends are confirmed, the console should sell out quickly and it is not impossible that it will be out of stock, at least in certain territories. To prevent misuse of the console, a major warning has been issued before the official release, this Thursday, June 5, 2025. Do not do this when you receive your console!

Watch out for the screen of your Nintendo Switch 2!

The video game industry is preparing to celebrate the launch of a new console with the Nintendo Switch 2. After more than 8 years of good and loyal service, the Switch will take a back seat, especially after the respective releases of Pokemon ZA and Metroid Prime 4 Beyond. If you're planning to buy it right after release, in the coming weeks or months, the manufacturer has a message for you! In the official Nintendo Switch 2 manual, it's clearly advised against removing the protective film you'll see on the machine's screen.

Indeed, Big N took care to install an original protective film on the Nintendo Switch 2. And the reason is quite simple: to prevent screen fragments from scattering in the event of breakage. "The screen is covered with a film intended to prevent the scattering of fragments in the event of damage. Please do not remove it." A precautionary measure surely intended primarily for children, even if it ultimately concerns everyone. However, it is unclear whether this warning could lead to a loss of warranty or not. But when in doubt, you know what to do: don't touch anything!

If you're planning on leaving with a Nintendo Switch 2 under your arm, or having it delivered, don't forget that there will be free and paid updates to improve the rendering or fluidity of titles already available like The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, Super Mario Odyssey, Pokemon Scarlet & Purple... In addition to these new graphics and technical features, remember that THE launch game not to be missed is none other than the racing game Mario Kart World.
