Alongside the new Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket event, Pokemon Scarlet & Purple has been holding festivities for several days. Two temporary operations allow you to capture a very rare and powerful Pokémon, but not for long. If you want to add a creature to your collection, now is the time to take out your Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 to participate in the activities offered by Game Freak. This is your last chance to collect them before they disappear!
A Pokémon to collect in Pokemon Scarlet & Purple
Hear ye, hear ye, hunters of Pokemon Scarlet & Purple! Something new awaits you in the game, but not for much longer. Indeed, until Monday, June 16, 2025 at 1:59 a.m. (French time), you can capture a very rare and powerful Pokémon: Porygon2. And it won't be caught so easily since it's the subject of a 7-star raid, the maximum difficulty found in this activity. Equipped with an Overpowered Badge, this creature can only be obtained once per save, as usual.
If you've already participated in a Porygon2 Teracrystal raid in Pokemon Scarlet & Purple in the past, you can already turn back. Yes, that's the rule! However, if you want to face this Pokémon again, it's possible. Just know that the outcome of the battle will only give access to rewards. Again, nothing new under the sun. If you don't have time to take part in this hunt, don't panic. "It is possible that this Porygon2 will reappear during a future event, or that it can be obtained by other means" specifies the Pokemon Scarlet & Purple web portal.
How to participate in the 7-star raid Porygon2?
How to get this free Pokémon Porygon2 in Pokemon Scarlet & Purple? Again and again, the same way. However, even though it comes up often, you may not be aware of the procedure, so here are the steps to follow to participate in this new 7-star raid:
- Start Pokémon Scarlet & Purple on Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2
- Make sure it is up to date
- Complete the main story or join trainers
- Subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online if you participate in raids with other players
- Go to the Poké Portal menu
- Then to "Mystery Gifts"
- Select "Receive Poké Portal Updates"
- Good luck with your hunt!
In addition to the 7-star Porygon2 raid, massive Shiny Porygon2 spawns are taking place in the various regions of Pokemon Scarlet & Purple. “Shiny Porygon2 will have a higher chance of appearing during these special events, so have fun hunting for these Pokémon in the Paldea region, Septentria, and under the Blueberry Institute’s Terra-Dome.” Once again, this will end on June 16, 2025, at 1:59 AM (PT).
