No time to breathe for PS Plus members. While all subscribers can now claim all the free games for June 2025, those who have subscribed to the Extra & Premium plans are not left out. With the Days of Play, they can discover bonus games, rolled out over the weeks. From Skull & Bones to Another Crab Treasures and others to come, PlayStation has spoiled them. We had to expect a little surprise during the State of Play and it didn't fail.
The next PS Plus Extra and Premium games revealed
It was one of the surprises of this State of Play in June 2025. Sony revealed some of the next games that will join the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalogs this summer and there will be some great ones. Lately, the Japanese publisher has been stepping up its efforts to offer more day-one releases, those famous games that are available from the moment they launch. The next one to come, we already knew it: FBC Firebreak, the multiplayer game from the creators of Control and Alan Wake, which will arrive in PS Plus Extra on June 17, 2025. PlayStation will do it again with another game that should catch the eye of many players. After Abzu, Journey, and Pathless, it's time for Sword of the Sea. A poetic title, clearly in the vein of the studio's previous games. PS+ Extra members will be able to discover it as soon as it is released on August 19, 2025.
PS Plus Premium subscribers will not be left out. Sony was criticized for relying too much on unknown titles in its catalog of classics. Your complaints have clearly been heard and the publisher has already highlighted some of the upcoming titles and there will be real classics. Deux Ex first of the name will arrive on June 17, followed by Twisted Metal 3 and 4 on July 15. Later this summer, at a date yet to be determined, PS Plus Premium members will be treated to a treat. The original Resident Evil 2 and 3 will also be joining the retro catalog. In summary:
