Released on April 30th, Thunderbolts has largely won over MCU fans. Jake Schreier's film has also been relatively well-received by the press. Thunderbolts: critical success for Marvel

Jake Schreier has already distinguished himself in the past by directing episodes of the series Kidding. While he also participated in the filming of the series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, Disney has entrusted him with the direction of Thunderbolts, the new film in the MCU.

Against all expectations, Thunderbolts was well received by both the press and audiences. The feature film received largely positive reviews but nevertheless had a modest box office result, grossing only $381 million worldwide.

Sentry: This Ambiguous and Exciting Hero

One of the strong elements of Thunderbolts is obviously Sentry. Bob Reynolds is a character much loved by comic book readers. An ambiguous, definitively sick hero, Bob Reynolds divides his identity between two facets: the superhero Sentry, who possesses the power of 10,000 suns in fusion, and Void, his shadow side, an even more powerful demonic entity. When Bob loses control, loses his mind, he becomes Void.

Jake Schreier has succeeded in perfectly representing the dichotomy between good and evil that drives Sentry. The filmmaker has succeeded in portraying a complex, charismatic character, whose mental turmoil remains fascinating. Aesthetically, Sentry also offers some great action moments. Void's sleek design works perfectly, allowing for a compelling antagonist.

Recently, artist John Staub took to his Instagram account to share some never-before-seen concept art of Sentry. Beautiful artwork that showcases a Void closer to his comic book design:
