We finally know the exact release date of the 5th and final season of Stranger Things on Netflix. For the occasion, the platform offers us a trailer in the form of a summary.
Fans have been waiting for three years. In 2022, season 4 of Stranger Things ended, with the promise of a sequel and an end no later than 2024. But the historic strike by Hollywood writers and actors disrupted the established schedule.
Once the crisis had passed, the observation put viewers' patience to the test: the fifth season will be broadcast in 2025, not before. That's good, because that's precisely the current year. Yet not a shadow of a Demogorgon to get their teeth into.
Rest assured, this will soon be the case. Netflix reveals the release date for Stranger Things season 5 in a new video that serves as a recap of previous events. It also shows us some never-before-seen footage from upcoming episodes, but nothing special.
The main characters are there, we guess they're facing a currently unknown threat, and that's about it. Luckily, the trailer ends with the release date. Or rather, the dates.
Here's when Stranger Things season 5 is coming to Netflix
There are indeed not one, but three separate release dates for the final season of Stranger Things. Netflix will release the 8 episodes in three parts. Here's what we know now:
- Strangers Things Season 5 Episodes 1-4 will air on November 27, 2025.
- Strangers Things Season 5 Episodes 5-7 will air on December 26, 2025.
- The 8th and final episode of Strangers Things Season 5 will air on January 1, 2026.
Note that in all 3 cases, it's one day after the dates shown in the video below, which concern the United States. We'll therefore have to wait a few more months before seeing Eleven, Max, Will, Lucas, Dustin, Mike, and the others again. However, we can already console ourselves by remembering that this fifth and final season will not mark the end of Stranger Things. Its creators still have things to tell us.
