Like every week, the Epic Games Store is offering free titles to all its users. And this time again, the platform isn't doing things by halves! It's a chance to have a good time without having to spend a single cent. Between this and Steam on PC, players are definitely spoiled. As a reminder, you have until Wednesday, June 12 at 5 p.m., after that, it will be too late.
Two very good free games on the Epic Games Store
For several weeks now, the Epic Games Store has been playing the suspense card with its famous "mystery" offers. Every Thursday, a new free game is revealed... sometimes just hours before it goes live. A strategy that keeps players on the edge of their seats and, it must be admitted, has proven to be rather generous. Between surprises like Dead Island 2, released much earlier than expected, or Sifu and Deliver Us Mars, available from launch, Epic has clearly decided to make an impression with its summer campaign. Even last week, the contrasts were delicious: on one side, the dark and minimalist atmosphere of Limbo, on the other, the colorful explosions of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
Deathloop
Released in 2021 and developed by the French studio Arkane Lyon (Dishonored, Prey), Deathloop on the Epic Games Store plunges you into a hellish time loop on the island of Blackreef. You play as Colt, an assassin tasked with eliminating eight targets before the day begins again. The only way to break the loop? Complete everything... without dying. With its unique graphic style, gameplay combining stealth, action, and supernatural powers, and its original structure, Deathloop quickly won over fans of the genre. The game even won Best Game Direction at The Game Awards.
Ogu and the Secret Forest
But that's not all on the Epic Games Store. Lesser-known but equally charming, Ogu and the Secret Forest is a 2D side-scrolling adventure game. You play as Ogu, an adorable little character who explores a forest filled with puzzles, strange creatures, and collectibles. With its hand-drawn art direction and soothing atmosphere, this game is aimed at both children and adults looking for a relaxing moment. Think of it as a mix between a 2D Zelda and an interactive tale.
