A text message scam campaign is underway. It's not quite like the ones we're unfortunately used to. Be careful if you receive this kind of message.
Are you still receiving text messages? Since the widespread availability of instant messaging and the RCS protocol, they have largely fallen into disuse. It's quite simple: for many people, the rare text messages they receive are attempted scams. Some are so crude that they can be spotted from miles away, like this text extolling the virtues of a device supposedly created by Elon Musk to reduce your electricity bill. Yes, it goes far.
Others, more classic, come from a fake delivery person who hasn't managed to entrust you with your package. The message contains a link to arrange a new delivery slot and redirects to a page fabricated by hackers to extract personal information from you. Most often, your email address and associated password, sometimes your banking details. Eventually, we become suspicious, so the scammers have found a new scheme.

This time, the attempt is two-fold. First, you receive a message from the "delivery person" saying they couldn't get the package through the mailbox. But no suspicious connection here; they're just asking if you want them to come back or drop the package off at a collection point. Something a real delivery person would do, basically. In reality, the scammer is waiting for your response to send you a web address. The scammer sends a suspicious link, but not right away / Credits: Phonandroid
It's used to set a home delivery slot or a collection point, regardless of what you've requested. You should definitely not click on it, and even less provide the information requested on the page. Fortunately, your smartphone should block the fraudulent link from opening, as you can see in the screenshot above. So be extra careful if you're expecting a package. Remember that the delivery person will usually call you when they arrive. There's no reason for them to text you.
