The game Valorant has been on a great adventure since its release, with several seasons under its belt. And now, it's about to experience a historic summer. To mark its 5th anniversary, Riot Games is unveiling a series of major updates. Between the move to Unreal Engine 5, the arrival of a feature that's been requested for years, a new competitive map, and even free rewards for Pride Month, there's plenty to make you want to dive back into the game.
A feature that's finally coming to Valorant after a 5-year wait!
It's official, the replay system is finally coming to Valorant. Scheduled for patch 11.06 in September, it will allow you to review your competitive matches to analyze your mistakes, spot suspicious bugs, or simply relive your best moments. Long requested by the community, this feature will initially be limited to ranked games, but Riot already plans to extend it to other modes. A huge step forward, both for casual players, content creators, and team coaches.
Another big new feature, Valorant is moving to Unreal Engine 5 with patch 11.02, scheduled for the end of July. An engine change that, according to Riot, will not change the gameplay, but will bring several important improvements. Namely better stability and increased performance, faster patch downloads and a more modern technical base for the future.
A new map starting this month
Patch 11.0, scheduled for June, will integrate a new map into the competitive rotation from day one for Valorant. To avoid penalizing players in the discovery phase, Riot will apply a 50% reduction in ranking point losses during the first two weeks. However, victories will still earn full points.
Finally, alongside these new features, Riot is also offering free rewards for Pride Month. Simply log in and enter the following codes to redeem the Valorant content:
- 8 Pride Player Cards
- Code: CC-VAL25-PLAYR-CARDS
- Gun Buddy "Abrazo Volador"
- Code: CC-VAL25-FLYBY-BUDDY
- Title "Devoró"
- Code: CC-VAL25-ATE25-TITLE
Riot is giving its flagship FPS a makeover with updates that address five-year-old requests. If you've been putting Valorant aside, now's definitely the right time to get back into it.
