In addition to the traditional free trials on Steam and other services, Xbox Game Pass is once again offering its subscribers the chance to try out new free games as part of its Free Play Days. For this new weekend in June, we have three new titles in the running, including an independent gem published by Xbox Games Studios. Let's take a closer look.
Three free games for this weekend's Free Play Days on Xbox Game Pass
Until Monday, June 16 at 8:59 a.m. sharp in France, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to try out three new free games for free. To install them, you'll need to go to each game's page via the console store or the Xbox app on PC and other compatible devices. Here are the games in question.
Towerborne
We'll start with the most exciting game of these new Free Play Days on Xbox Game Pass, since it's Towerborne, an independent game released in September 2024, developed by Stoic Games and published by Xbox Games Studios. More precisely, it's an Action-RPG mixed with a side-scroller beat'em up, playable solo or in co-op with up to four players. You can set off on an adventure with different heroes with specific weapons and skills, and make them gain power as you progress, via loot to improve their equipment and abilities. It's all presented in a very colorful artistic direction in a well-made fantasy universe. Note, however, that the game is still in early access. Bassmaster Fishing
If fantasy and brawling aren't your cup of tea, you might find what you're looking for on Bassmaster Fishing as part of these new Free Play Days on Xbox Game Pass. Developed and published by Dovetail Games and originally released in 2021, this is the official video game of the eponymous major competition, where you can take part in fishing contests from amateur to expert, if your mastery of the rod allows it.
Construction Simulator
If fishing isn't your thing either, this new wave of Free Play Days on Xbox Game Pass finally brings you Construction Simulator, developed by Weltenbauer. Software Entwicklung GmbH, published by Astragon and released in 2022. As the name suggests, this is an extremely comprehensive construction simulator that lets you be a real contractor and carry out huge construction projects, with more than 80 machines and the only limit being your imagination.
