First images of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra: the rival of the Galaxy S25 Ultra is revealed

A Russian electronics retailer has let the cat out of the bag ahead of time. While the official presentation of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected for Sunday, March 2, 2025, during the Chinese manufacturer's annual conference on the sidelines of MWC, images of the future high-end smartphone are in the wild.

The Russian site Mobiletelefon reports that the specialist retailer M.Video published the technical specifications of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra a little too early. Given the proximity to the probable launch of the smartphone, there is every reason to believe that this is real information.

A design in continuity

We first discover the design of the smartphone and three of its colors. It broadly follows that of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, with its central circle-shaped photo block.

The arrangement of the modules would abandon the perfect symmetry of the model and opt for two rows stacked on top of each other. The first, equipped with the largest circles, would highlight the Leica logo as well as a photo module that looks like a telephoto lens. The second should, barring any surprises, accommodate the wide angle with a 200 Mpx sensor, an ultra-wide angle (50 Mpx) and a more modest telephoto lens (50 Mpx).

Two small subtleties differentiate it from last year: the circle around the photo module would now be level with the glass that protects the modules, where the Xiaomi 14 Ultra gave the impression of a two-story module.

Then, one of the three colors sports a two-tone dress that also seems bitextured. We would be entitled to a model with a black coating, it seems, in vegan leather, accompanied by a white stripe on the left, possibly in another material. As for the other two colors, black seems to opt for vegan leather while white could well be in glass. All this remains of course to be confirmed at launch.

Other details of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra

The technical sheet of the Russian site provides other interesting details on the future ultra high-end smartphone. Starting with a battery with a greater capacity, rising to 5410 mAh, against 5000 last year. This would support a charge of up to 90 W, leaving the exclusive use of the manufacturer's 120 W technology to the Redmi Note 14 Pro +, a mid-range smartphone costing 500 euros.

For the rest, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra's technical sheet would be very classic for its price range: a 6.73-inch Oled screen in QHD (3200 x 1440 pixels), a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the most powerful on the market and generous dimensions, with a weight of 229 g and a thickness of 9.48 mm, probably including the photo block.
