For several weeks, the rumor has been getting heavier and heavier. Last November, insiderXtas1s confirmed that the game should have already been released on PS5, but that the latter had been delayed for unknown reasons. But it was still maintained and planned for 2025. It is now official, Forza Horizon 5 will arrive in the spring on Sony's console.

It was only a matter of time before Microsoft and PlayStation confirmed the news. It has now been a fact for a few hours. Forza Horizon 5 will arrive on PS5 in spring 2025 and the game is already available on the PlayStation Store to be added to your “wishlist”. For the moment, no pre-orders and no specific release date. We simply know that the title will arrive in the spring, like a certain Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle.
Concerning the first details, the game will offer cross-platform, allowing PC, PS5 and Xbox players to play together. This PlayStation version of Forza Horizon 5 will be the same as on PC and Xbox, with all the content, i.e. the 900 cars. We do not yet know if a cross-save system (so as not to lose your progress if you plan to play the game on PS5 and Xbox) and if the DLC will be part of it or not.
We also learn that the port was developed by Panic Button, in partnership with Turn 10 Studios. And for the moment, we will have to make do with that. No images, no trailer, no price, just an announcement and a date already set for the coming weeks.
After Sea of Thieves, Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush and Grounded last year, Microsoft is continuing its strategy to end exclusives. This year, Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle (available since December 9 on PC and Xbox) will also arrive on PS5, also in the spring. Games like Doom: The Dark Ages and The Outer Worlds 2, developed by id Software and Obsidian, new Microsoft studios, will also arrive on PS5 and will not be exclusives.
According to the latest rumors, Starfield, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Halo The Master Chief Collection and Gears of War Ultimate Edition should also arrive on PS5 this year and could even be invited to Nintendo Switch2. In any case, this is what Phil Spencer recently implied.
