While Internet users often contrast the livestream sphere with that of television, the two media actually have a lot in common and inspire each other, both in their formats and in their representatives. Zerator, for example, is a well-known figure among gamers and viewers since he is one of the biggest French content creators on Twitch and YouTube.
Organizer of ZEvent and ZLan, he has nothing more to prove to the world of the Internet, but has everything to gain from that of television. This is why france.tv announced today that the influencer will join the show called Safe Zone, hosted by Faustine Bollaert. He will be the guest of the day this February 2 and, for an hour, the man behind the streamer will reveal himself to his fans. The channel's press release already specifies:
This is an important moment for the creator who organized his eighth ZEvent last year. The 2025 edition has not yet been announced, but it is worth noting that each iteration is an opportunity for the streamer and donors to shatter the record for money raised for various associations.
A diversification of the audience for the common good?
By inviting Zerator to its show, france.tv slash hopes to reach a younger and more engaged audience than the current television audience. Crossovers of the genre have tended to multiply for several years, as viewers of the two media increasingly diverge. In addition to bringing young people to television, Zerator will also find a new audience by showing a more accessible, less gaming side to an audience more affected by the personality of the influencer and not their activity.
Perhaps this will be beneficial for ZEvent 2025 after a very slight drop in donations in 2024. There was a kitty of 10145881 euros while the year 2023 went up to 10182126€. In reality, the event's growth has been stabilizing for several years - with 3 years in a row raising more than 10 million euros - while 2021 saw ZEvent participation almost double compared to the previous year.
