OnePlus's last connected watch has a defect in which no one could think

This is what you call a big blunder. Various users of the brand new OnePlus Watch 3 have reported a very annoying detail on Reddit. The mention “Made in China”, present under the case of the watch, is badly written. It reads "Meda in China".

OnePlus's last connected watch has a defect in which no one could think

Our own test model was affected, as was that of our colleagues at Journal du Geek, as were most of the watches we have seen in tests published on the internet. And the error seems deep enough that a visual on OnePlus’s website (since apparently removed) shows it (via Android Authority). Even the copy used for the official presentation of the watch on the brand's YouTube channel has the same error...

Let's hope for the brand that this is just of a bad series and that the entire range is not affected by the problem, otherwise it would look bad.

What does OnePlus risk with this error?

A priori, OnePlus does not risk anything legally, since users will still be able to understand the geographical origin of the watch without any problem.

On the other hand, this error casts a chill on the quality control of the brand and its brand image. Indeed, if the Chinese brand is no longer as powerful as it was in its early days, its entire brand image revolves around a search for quality and our own tests regularly praise its products for their attention to detail.

Let's not jump to conclusions about this harmless error either. This will not prevent the Wear 5 watch from working as it should.
