There are gifts that surprise and not necessarily in a good way, as is the case with the new feature announced by OpenAI in the informal context of its "12 days" of pre-Christmas surprises. The ChatGPT Pro subscription at $200 per month (!) gives access to the "best" of the company's AI models: o1, o1-mini, GPT-4o and Advanced Voice. The o1 Pro mode is also part of it.
o1 is out of beta
o1 is the latest model from OpenAI. Slower than GPT-4o, it takes its time to solve complex problems. o1 Pro uses even more computing power to provide even better answers; he is particularly gifted in math, science and coding.
The ChatGPT Pro plan is intended for researchers, engineers and anyone who needs a second brain “at the cutting edge of AI progress,” as OpenAI explains. The Plus and Teams subscriptions remain unchanged and remain at the same prices as before.
The other little surprise of the day also concerns o1, which is coming out of its preview status and replacing o1-preview for Plus and Teams subscribers. The final version is intended to be more concise while making fewer errors (34% according to tests) than the previous one. However, it is still not possible to upload documents to o1, but OpenAI is on the lookout.
