Seen as a real professional prospect, live streaming has a reputation for being technically inaccessible, or even requiring expensive installation.
You should know that these prejudices are partially false. Streaming can be as simple as launching a video game on your PS5 console. Here we show you how to start a broadcast of your game to save you time and money.
How to stream on your PS5?
First, there are two applications for streaming on PlayStation consoles: Twitch and YouTube. Before starting any process, you will need to make sure you have an account on the platform you want to use, and link it to your PSN account via the console settings (User and accounts > Links to other services). Also note that to broadcast your gaming environment in addition to your game, you will need a camera. Sony has one that does the job very well, but any compatible wired model can be used.
Once that's done, the process is very simple. All you have to do is launch your game, press the create button (on the left on the DualSense), then select “Broadcast“. We also recommend that you have a laptop at hand in order to have access to the dashboard of your stream. This allows you, for example, to block malicious accounts, to manage certain parameters in real time or to have more information on the spectators.
