Samsung's smart TVs have been pre-installing Canal+ apps for a few years now, but the 2024 models were not yet compatible. This is now a done deal: the apps will be "pre-installed on the home screen of the new Samsung 2024 and 2025 TVs," the audiovisual group states in its press release. This further increases the number of compatible TVs, which start with the 2018 models. Remember that Samsung TVs from 2017 were deprived of these apps at the beginning of the year.
40 more territories for Canal+
In total, more than 25 million of the manufacturer's Smart TVs integrate Canal+ apps. The latter took the opportunity to announce an extension of the "strategic partnership" with Samsung, which now covers more than 40 territories worldwide: in Europe, Asia and in the overseas territories of France. 25 French-speaking African territories will soon join the club.
In addition to the applications, the universal guide of these televisions will include Canal+ programs. Users will thus be able to access the group's content much more easily. For all others, those who do not have a Samsung television, the Canal+ app can still be downloaded from the platforms' stores (Google TV, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, etc.), but also on iOS/Android smartphones and tablets. And of course, the content can be viewed directly on the web.
