Samsung and Google could well have a surprise in store for future Galaxy S25 buyers. The two manufacturers have been working hand in hand for several months, and Samsung is often the first to benefit from new features developed by the latter, before the latter rolls them out to its Pixels.
For the S25 series, this gift would once again take the form of an AI feature. Rumor has it that the S25s could include free access to Gemini Advanced, the new, but also the most advanced version of Google's AI.
The information comes from several snoopers who analyzed the latest beta version of Google's application and discovered several mentions of a free Gemini Advanced even though the application is usually offered at €19.99/month. It remains to be seen which version of the S25 is affected and for how long. Is this very limited access, just enough time to get a glimpse of the service's capabilities, or a real discovery offer lasting several months?
Free Gemini Advanced
According to our American colleagues at Android Authority, there would be three levels of offer in the discovery bonus imagined by Google and Samsung.
For the most basic version of the S25, this access to Gemini Advanced would last three months. For the Galaxy S25+, access to the premium service would increase to 6 months. Future owners of the S25 Ultra will have the most time to enjoy Gemini Advanced, which seems logical, since the trial period will run for the entire first year, allowing them to save around 240 euros.
It remains to be seen whether this offer seen in the bowels of the Google application code will translate into reality. The wait shouldn't be very long since the launch date of the new Samsung Galaxy S25 seems to be set for January 22.
In the meantime, this rumor joins many others that are starting to give us a clear idea of what Samsung's new high-end smartphone and its variations will be.
