Two new Shokz products have just been presented by the New York brand at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas 2025. These are the new generation of OpenFit, as well as a new product in the range: OpenMeet. They are intended for the professional environment, to ensure that bone conduction technology also benefits employees who are required to wear a headset to make calls throughout the day, or to attend video conference meetings.
OpenFit 2 and OpenMeet: the new Shokz products at CES 2025
The beginning of 2025 therefore rhymes for Shokz with the desire to expand its customer base. So far, its flagship products are the OpenRun Pro 2 and the OpenSwim Pro. To address everyone, the brand had also introduced the OpenFit in 2023, then corrected them with the OpenFit Air in 2024. In 2025, the OpenFit 2 is responsible for improving the sound by reducing losses, increasing the autonomy from 7 to 11 hours with a charge and 48 hours with the charging case (compared to 28 hours previously). As for the materials, Shokz promises superior comfort with a softer and more stable support.
As for the new OpenMeet, everything remains to be seen as it is a completely new product. Like the OpenFit 2, Shokz announces them for the French market this first half of the year, without giving further details. In the United States, they will cost $220 or $250 depending on the version chosen. To make a name for themselves, their main argument is their weight: the headset weighs only 78 grams. The "pressure-free" adjustment promised by Shokz will go through five points, and should eliminate hearing fatigue and adapt "to any eyeglass frame".
Bone conduction will not be the only integrated technology. Shokz has indeed specified that like its new OpenRun Pro 2 tested by 01net.com recently, the audio will also be transmitted by air, in order to preserve bass in particular. As for the integrated microphone, an essential element for making good calls, Shokz announces that background noise will be eliminated by 98.6%. On its support, the microphone also has an integrated button to deactivate the capture, very useful in meetings.
The total autonomy of the OpenMeet is estimated at 15 hours at a moderate volume, and 14 hours in conversation, with the microphone on. Charging time will be 90 minutes and five minutes should be enough to recover 2 hours of talk time. Wireless range is estimated at 30 meters with a Bluetooth 5.4 connection.
