In 2020, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Geoff Keighley launched Summer Game Fest. A festival dedicated to video games with three months of events (from June to August) to compensate for the cancellation of E3 and major physical events due to lockdowns and restrictions on gatherings.
Five years later, Summer Game Fest is still in place (unlike E3) and is even preparing to return for a new edition from June 6 to 9, 2025 at Los Angeles.
Summer Game Fest is back
It was through his social networks that Geoff Keighley confirmed the holding of a new edition of the Summer Game Fest on June 6, 7, 8 and 9, still in the city of Los Angeles. On the program, we should be entitled to a new press conference with announcements, World Premiers, game presentations and surprises. The event will once again take place at the YouTube Theater. But that's not all.
As has been the case for several years now, the Summer Game Fest will offer a physical part: the Play Days. This part is reserved for the press and influencers, with around forty leading partners and game publishers who will be there to present their games in preview.
This is therefore one more event that is confirmed for Geoff Keighley who will also be in charge of organizing, as every year, the Opening Night Live of Gamescom in August as well as the traditional Game Awards in December. The year promises to be once again intense and busy in the world of video games!
