Nintendo Switch Online subscribers are getting more and more bang for their buck. Nintendo continues to regularly expand its catalog of retro games, and the latest to benefit is the Game Boy Advance. Indeed, two games that are particularly adored by the general public are preparing their arrival. These are Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age, the first two installments in the franchise.
They will arrive on January 17, at no extra cost for subscribers to the Nintendo Switch Online add-on pack. They will be able to discover emulated versions of the games released in 2001 and 2002 respectively. The studio has not given any news regarding the third opus released in 2010 on Nintendo DS. The console is not yet part of the program on Nintendo Switch but is starting to be retro enough for us to imagine compatibility with the Switch 2.
In the role-playing game series Golden Sun, developed by Camelot Software Planning, players follow the adventures of heroes called the Warriors of Light. Equipped with Psynergy powers, they seek to prevent the release of Alchemy's destructive energies. Their quest leads them to seek out the Elemental Stones, powerful artifacts, to save the world from an apocalyptic threat.
The narrative mixes family intrigue, mystery and prophecy, while offering environmental puzzles and strategic combat. The Golden Sun games are especially praised for their unique RPG aspect and immersive stories.
In parallel, subscribers will soon be able to welcome the title F-Zero Maximum Velocity. The Game Boy Advance catalog is full of some interesting gems, including Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Fire Emblem, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap and Metroid Fusion.
