Very fleetingly revealed last February during the presentation of the Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT, AMD's Radeon RX 9060 Series are officially expected for the second quarter of 2025. Intended for the mid-range market, facing the still unofficial GeForce RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti, these two graphics cards are starting to seriously make a name for themselves: leaks show that at least ASUS and Acer have Radeon RX 9060 XT models in the pipeline.
RX 9060 XTs with 8GB or 16GB of memory
On Acer's side, a listing published on the Eurasian Economic Union website specifically mentions two factory-overclocked Radeon RX 9060 XTs expected in the manufacturer's Predator Bifrost ranges, with 8GB and 16GB of video memory. The Korean National Radio Research Agency mentions for its part on its site the recent certification of several Radeon RX 9060 XT from Asus, here also with 8 GB and 16 GB versions, and in factory overclocked or not variants. Unfortunately, apart from this quantity of VRAM, no other technical details appear on these certified product lists.
The technical specifications of the Radeon RX 9060 XT are therefore currently only rumors. But given the card's placement in AMD's catalog, we can still assume that it will be based on a smaller Navi 44 chipset – and therefore less expensive to produce – than the GPU in the Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT. Furthermore, since the RDNA 4 architecture does not support GDDR7 memory, GDDR6 memory will necessarily be used, probably on a 128-bit bus. We can therefore expect the video memory bandwidth to be slightly lower than that offered by the RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti. Finally, the price of these different Radeon RX 9060 XTs remains to be seen; under 450 euros, they could be a resounding success...
