Navigo: The new refund campaign begins today, how do you reimburse yourself?

Navigo: The new refund campaign begins today, how do you reimburse yourself?

The compensation campaign for Navigo subscribers who experienced recurring delays on certain lines in 2024 has officially begun. Île-de-France Mobilités opened its reimbursement platform on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, allowing affected users to request compensation until April 15.

Which lines are affected?

Unsurprisingly, not everyone will be affected: the pass must be valid for at least one month of the strike and holders must live, work, or study in the area served by the bus lines disrupted during the strike. Here is the detailed list of lines eligible for compensation.

  • RER B: Aulnay – Mitry-Claye / Aulnay – CDG 2 Airport / Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse – Parc de Sceaux
  • RER C: Dourdan-la-Forêt – La-Norville / Saint-Martin-d’Etampes – Marolles-en-Hurepoix
  • Tram T12: the entire line

For the first time, a tram line is affected by the reimbursement campaign. The T12 line, linking Évry-Courcouronnes to Massy-Palaiseau, experienced a difficult start when it was put into service, with several delivery delays and difficulties in training its drivers. In total, seven months of disruption were recorded in 2024.

Can you benefit from a refund?

To be eligible, you must provide proof of residence, work or study address located in one of the municipalities served by the lines concerned, and have used an eligible pass during the affected periods. The Navigo Annual, Monthly, Senior, Imagine R étudiant and School passes, as well as the 50% and 75% Reduction passes are affected.

To register your reimbursement request, there is only one site: the travelers concerned are invited to go to a dedicated Ile-de-France mobilités platform to complete the form, accompanied by proof of address or proof of an employer. Finally, for students, a certificate of studies or schooling will be sufficient. Only one refund request will be accepted per profile. So, it's a shame if you live on the T12 and your workplace is in Aulnay.

Refund amount

Expect a refund of half the price of the Navigo Pass for lines with a punctuality rate below 80% for 3 to 5 months in 2024. For lines experiencing difficulties for 6 to 9 months, the price of one month's pass will be refunded. Finally, for 10 months or more, Île-de-France Mobilités will reimburse the equivalent of one and a half months of the pass price. For example, users of the T12 line and the Aulnay-Mitry Claye axis of the RER B can receive up to 86.40 euros, corresponding to the monthly Navigo fare in 2024.
