Pokémon Championships, Pokémon Center stores, amusement parks… All the exciting activities related to the little pocket monsters are organized in the four corners of the world: except in France. With the exception of a temporary Parisian Center to celebrate the games X and Y in 2014 and the opening of a pop-up store in the BHV Marais department store this year, trainers in France are far from being the best placed to fully live out their passion for Pokémon. But that is about to change. While Game Freak is slowly (but surely) preparing the launch of the Pokémon Legends Z-A game dedicated to the very French region of Kalos, another major surprise awaits fans of the franchise in the coming months.
Earlier this year, the Pokémon Company and Niantic created a surprise by announcing the dates and locations of the upcoming Pokémon GO Fest festivals in 2025. For the first time in its history, the community mobile game will finally set up shop in Paris for a summer weekend that already promises to be memorable. We already knew that the Pokémon GO Fest Paris 2025 would take place from June 13 to 15 in the French capital, but the celebration is finally revealing all of its details. Ticket reservations, program and venue: here's everything you need to know to make sure you don't miss this unique event.
What is Pokémon GO Fest?
Every year, Pokémon and Niantic come to major cities around the world to promote the best aspects of Pokémon GO: player encounters, tourism and physical activity. These events are organized both in the urban environment of the host city and in one of its parks, transformed into a huge natural play area especially for the occasion. Players can buy a ticket to activate in Pokémon GO, which then allows access to an expedition to share with other participants. Some quests take place in the park, while others take shape across the city: a way to discover emblematic places while capturing rare Pokémon. For Pokémon GO Fest Paris 2025, the festivities will be organized between the center of the capital and the Parc de Sceaux, in the southern suburbs of the city.
The Hauts-de-Seine park was selected for its size and idyllic setting, perfectly suited to hosting the tens of thousands of trainers that the GO Fest attracts on average. The Parc de Sceaux will remain accessible to all, with or without a ticket. The ticket is only used to participate in in-game activities, including exclusive access to Volcanion Special Research, which will make its first appearance on this occasion.
On site, visitors will be able to relax in spaces decorated with the colors of the three Pokémon GO teams, meet Pikachu and Eevee, and take part in PvP battles or Raids via the app or even leave with exclusive merchandise from the event. It’s not a Pokémon Center per se, but goodies aficionados should still find what they’re looking for.
Tickets are now open!
The Pokémon GO Fest ticket office is available starting today, and is offering a preferential early bird rate of €22 until April 2. After this date, tickets will be sold at the full price of €27. If you are unable to make the trip, be aware that an entirely digital experience called Pokémon GO Fest Global will also take place on June 28 and 29.
Regarding transport between the city center and the park, Niantic teams have stated that they are in full negotiations with Île-de-France Mobilités and the city of Paris to try to obtain a special package for this weekend. More information will be shared closer to the event.
