A new feature is coming soon to the Galaxy smartphone browser. It promises to transform the way we view web pages. This evolution is based on Google's Gemini artificial intelligence, and it could well change your habits.
Web browsers are becoming increasingly smarter. Thanks to artificial intelligence, they no longer just display pages: they can also extract the essential information from them. Until now, these features were limited to certain apps like Chrome. But things are changing quickly, especially on Galaxy smartphones. A new feature being tested by Google could be a game-changer for users of the Samsung Internet browser.
The Samsung Internet browser, installed by default on Galaxy devices, will soon integrate Gemini, Google's AI assistant. This feature will allow you to automatically summarize the content of a webpage, such as an article or a news site. Until now, this was only possible with Galaxy AI, the solution developed by the brand.
From now on, Gemini could take over with a more advanced approach. The assistant will be able to read the entire page using its URL, unlike the current system based on only on the screenshot of the visible area.

In the latest beta version of the Google app (v16.10.40.sa.arm64), it is already possible to use Gemini to summarize a page displayed in Samsung Internet. The user can activate the option by launching the assistant via the side button or a gesture, then selecting “Ask for information on this page” and typing “summarize”. Once the URL is detected, the assistant can analyze the full page and generate a more accurate summary, even for long articles. This avoids the current limitations of only the elements visible on the screen.
This new feature is not yet available to everyone, but its arrival seems imminent. It is part of an increasingly close partnership between Google and Samsung, already visible with One UI 7.0. Several applications like Samsung Notes, Calendar or Reminders now benefit from integrations with Gemini. The Samsung Internet browser is therefore added to the list of compatible apps. This development should bring a significant time saving in reading pages, especially for users accustomed to viewing a lot of content on mobile.
