Spotify has fixed a rather unfortunate bug. It forces Premium subscribers, those who pay, to endure ad breaks. The main interest of the paid subscription is precisely not having to listen to advertising between two songs... The testimonies have accumulated in recent weeks, and obviously they are not tender towards vis du service streaming.
Premium subscribers' frustration
The frustration is indeed rising, and for good reason. The solutions that are circulating, such as logging out and logging back in to your account, don't seem to work for everyone. Affected users have also verified that everything was fine with their payment method, finding that there was no reason for them to be downgraded to the free plan. The bug affects every platform used to listen to Spotify, smartphone, tablet, PC, whatever.
The bug is so annoying that some have asked for a refund of their subscription. Here is which comes at a bad time, as the platform is putting the finishing touches (supposedly) to a new "Music Pro" option with additional services sold obviously at a higher price.
Spotify has finally taken the bull by the horns, and has worked on a fix. As a result, the problem should finally be a thing of the past today. However, if as a Premium subscriber you still hear advertising, the company recommends logging out and logging back into your account at several times to force synchronization.
