After having been an unprecedented hit on Netflix, all its surprise arrival in the catalog of the American platform, Suits offers itself a new spin-off under the direction of Aaron Korsh. The creator will leave the skyscrapers of New York for the sunny lands of Los Angeles and focus on telling the life of another law firm. New characters are at the epicenter of this proposition which has just started its broadcast on American soil. It's about following Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor in New York who, when his office is in crisis, must accept a role he has despised his entire career. But to save his colleagues, this man with a strong character doesn't really have a choice.
The first chapters were on February 23 on NBC and already promise some notable appearances by heroes from the parent series. This is particularly true for Harvey Specter, played by Gabriel Macht. The headliner of Suits: Lawyers on measure was also at the heart of the promotional images broadcast in recent months. He should appear in three episodes of this first salvo... and he will not be the only one. NBC is preparing the return of Rick Hoffman in the role of Louis Litt.
The lawyer specializing in finance will also cross the country to provide his assistance or confront the hero of Suits: LA. Note that he should not cross paths with Harvey Spector, the two characters will evolve within different plots and at different times. Rick Hoffman's participation marks the second crossover with Suits: Custom Lawyer which ended in 2019 on USA Network. As for Mike Ross, nothing says that Suits: LA will involve him. Questioned several times on the matter, Patrick J. Adams did not rule out this possibility.
And in France?
If the broadcast of Suits: LA has just started in the United States and we do not yet know what fate will be reserved for France. As a reminder, the parent series is offered via Netflix while the Pearson spin-off is in the Prime Video catalog. In any case, the series is eagerly awaited. In Uncle Sam's country, Suits: LA recorded a peak audience of 87% compared to the previous week in linear broadcasting.
We also recall that Suits broke a record when it arrived on Netflix and Peacock, even though its results were rather mediocre on television channels years earlier. The 134 episodes of custom lawyers were very regularly invited to the ranking of the most viewed productions on the various platforms in the United States and around the world.
