The Alien series: Earth shows the teeth in a new teaser

This year on Disney+, the event in the geek culture section will not be stamped Star Wars or Marvel. In addition to the series inspired by its most famous stables, the firm with the big ears is preparing the return of a monster of genre cinema with its FX division. The channel of the Walt Disney Company conglomerate hopes to bring the Alien saga back into the discussions of its subscribers, helped by the recent success of Alien: Romulus by Fede Ávarez. With Earth, Disney intends to make its viewers shiver, first with fear but also with pleasure at the discovery of an adventure that we hope will live up to the first installments by Ridley Scott and James Cameron. After brief images, which gave the title of the series a very literal character, the publication of a promotional video adds a little context. Amidst the promotional campaigns for The Bear, Dying for Sex and Adults, we can glimpse the heroes who will encounter the xenomorph.

As a reminder, the story will revolve around a group of young soldiers who embark on the exploration of a mysterious spaceship that has crashed on our planet. Among them, an android named Wendy who has the soul and consciousness of a child but uses the body of an adult. This information could add to the dramaturgy of the story, which will have to deal with the naivety of its heroine confronted with horrible facts. The character will be played by Sydney Chandler, she will face Timothy Olyphant. The actor is announced in the role of Wendy's mentor. The story will evolve entirely on Earth and should focus on the experiments of Weyland-Yutani Corporation on the robotics side. The Alien will still be a part of this story, as evidenced by the images revealed this February.

An alien with fangs

While this preview is particularly brief, it is nonetheless crucial. This is the first time that we can see an image of the monster immortalized in Noah Hawley's series. From dripping drool and teeth that would give nightmares to the most seasoned dentists, there is no doubt that you will need to have a strong stomach. We can also notice the presence of the cryogenic chambers from the first part. Moreover, it is an opportunity to discover the visual copy of the project that should arrive on our screens during the summer of 2025. The least we can say is that we can't wait to see what this series has in store for us, which in addition to a great cast, and in the hands of creators who no longer have to prove themselves. Noah Hawley has indeed already delivered notable series, start with Legion as director and creator and Fargo. So, see you next summer on Disney+ to see if Alien: Earth will be our favorite of the year.
