The Pixel 9a is on sale even before its announcement, here is its price

The Pixel 9a has not yet been officially announced by Google, that the smartphone already appears on the sites of some online retailers. A product page, which has since been removed, was notably spotted on the side of the German reseller TechnoMarkt. This confirms the price of the Pixel 9a, which will indeed be sold at 549 euros in its 128 GB storage version in Europe. The 256 GB model is meanwhile expected at 649 euros.

The mobile will be available in four colors: gray, pink, black and purple. The short technical description indicates that the Pixel 9a is equipped a 6.3-inch screen, two photo sensors (including a 48 MP main one) and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity. As is often the case with Google products, it has been difficult to keep the secret, and we can even see the first hands-on videos of the Pixel 9a on YouTube.

The Pixel 9a won't be long in coming

This accumulation of leaks leaves no room for doubt: the launch of the Pixel 9a is imminent. According to several sources, it should even be presented as early as March 19, 2025. Marketing is scheduled for March 26, a week later. Between these two dates, we wouldn't be surprised to see Google offer a pre-order deal. Some rumors suggest that a Google TV Streamer could be offered with the mobile in Europe.

If we believe the indiscretions, the Pixel 9a will include the same Tensor G4 SoC as the Pixel 9. Benchmarks of the Pixel 9a seem to indicate that it will be more powerful than Samsung's Galaxy A56, a direct competitor in the mid-range segment. The Pixel 9a performs as well as the Pixel 9 on AnTuTu, but is inferior to its predecessor if we rely on Geekbench results.

Otherwise, the device will ship with Android 15, the display is expected to be OLED, FHD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and brightness up to 2,700 nits, and it would have a 5,100 mAh battery. It would also have 8 GB of RAM, compared to 12 GB for the Pixel 9 and 16 GB for the Pixel 9 Pro.
