They risk 20 years in prison for burning Tesla, it doesn't kid

It's not a good time to own a Tesla car right now. Since Elon Musk joined the US government, the anti-Tesla rage has been growing and becoming increasingly violent. Acts of vandalism against dealerships and ordinary drivers are on the rise, pushing some to sell their vehicles in a hurry just to be left alone. At the same time, authorities are arresting those suspected of being behind these crimes so that they can be brought to justice.

Some are currently awaiting trial, and they must now bitterly regret their actions. US Attorney General Pam Bondi wants to make an impression by describing the events as "domestic terrorism." Ultimately, she is simply following the directives of President Donald Trump, who announced this categorization during a speech at the White House alongside Musk. The consequences for the sentences are visible.

20 years of imprisonment envisaged for vandalism of Teslas, justice is tightening its grip

Technically, there is no specific US law on domestic terrorism. However, if the terrorist motive is proven in a case of this kind, the prosecutor can request a harsher sentence. Pam Bondi is not holding back, announcing that three suspects face between 5 and 20 years in prison for setting fire to Teslas or the brand's charging stations. The dealerships and stations were targeted with Molotov cocktails. The premises were then defaced with graffiti.

The attorney general wants to send a clear deterrent message: “The era of crimes without consequences is over. Let this serve as a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Justice Department will put you behind bars.“It’s been said.
